Talk On the Rock's mission is to strengthen civic understanding and engagement on Mercer Island by providing clear, objective, informed reporting on city government, local schools, and community affairs.

Jane Reynolds is the novice Cutter and TK specialist for this site. Her primary skill is using the Ctrl+Z key effectively. She clings dearly to grammatical traditions of the past including oxford commas and double spaces after periods. She abhors incorrect use of apostrophes. Uncharacteristic of the archetypical militant grammarian, she is known to tolerate run-on sentences.
