Hello Mercer Island Patriots!

If you love voting, free speech, and the constitution, you will want to join us to walk peacefully across the I-90 Bridge pedestrian path on March 28th. It is meaningful, and it is fun!

As you have heard, there are NO KINGS 3 events all over the country and the world on that day. Lucky for Mercer Islanders, we have one right here in our town.

Why march? Research in political science indicates that a peaceful protest mobilization involving just 3.5% of a nation's population at a pivotal time makes it exceedingly difficult for the government to disregard popular demands for significant, transformative change.

In the United States, that number is 12 million. NO KINGS 2, last October, rallied 7 million Americans (1,126 of them right here on Mercer Island!). Actions of this federal administration have only become more dire since then: unauthorized war, killing of citizens, deportation of thousands of innocent people, the FCC chair threatening licenses of mainstream media who report the truth, not propaganda. Let’s get to 12 million!

Please join us on Saturday, March 28, 2-4 pm. This is a peaceful, family-friendly event. No weapons, no pets (although there will be a Dogs for Democracy event on May 9! Bark, woof - details forthcoming). Come anytime between 2-4 to the MI access point to the I-90 bridge (intersection of 72nd Ave SE and 24th St SE at the playground just below the tennis courts). The bridge span is 1.2 miles: you can walk as far as you wish. The path is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers! We will have hosts, a safety team, and good cheer to greet you. Come on down!
