Valkyrie
Meet Valkyrie, my co-author and chief feline critic. She is an 11-year-old “chocolate point” from a rare breed known as Apple-Head Siamese. Of all the cats who have allowed me to co-occupy their homes over the years, Valkyrie has by far the loudest purr — which she uses almost constantly to relay her boundless affection.
